Criteria for all Awards

  1. Your site MUST be a classroom website giving information about your class to students, parents, and/or fellow teachers . These awards are for classroom teachers ONLY.

  2. Your website must be family oriented, kid/parent friendly, and easy to navigate.

  3. It must be creative, original, and should give credit where credit is due to all original graphic artists on each page their graphics are used.

  4. The content of your website must be meaningful educational content and information for students, parents, and/or teachers.

  5. You must have the "No-Right Click Script" and the "IE6 Image Toolbar Disabler" scripts installed on each page of your website. (Click on each one in order to obtain the scripts)

  6. Your website must not have any broken links or pages under construction.

  7. Your website must be different than other teacher's websites. Be original!

Awards

In addition to the criteria above, each award below contains additional criteria for consideration. Please read each criteria before choosing the award you would like to apply for.

Criteria

In order to receive the "Big Apple Award", your website must include the following criteria in addition to the criteria for all awards stated on this page:

  1. Education content and information in your website must address students, parents, AND teachers.
  2. The content must be meaningful to all three of these groups.
  3. Your website must also include the criteria needed for the "Outstanding Website Award" and the "Creative Teacher Award" listed below.

Criteria

In order to receive the "Outstanding Website Award", your website must include the following criteria in addition to the criteria for all awards stated on this page:

  1. Your website must include examples of your teaching ideas and/or classroom projects through written examples and/or pictures.
  2. It must include a way for parents, students, and/or teachers to provide feedback for you.
  3. It must have a way of showcasing student progress and/or achievement.

Criteria

In order to receive the "Creative Teacher Award", your website must include the following criteria in addition to the criteria for all awards stated on this page:

  1. Your website must show your creativity through layouts, ideas, content, and overall design.
  2. Your website must be original.
  3. It must be an inspiration to other teachers.
